The European Policy Review is a journal on European Union policy published by the European Student Think Tank. For the 6th volume, I was tasked with redesigning the journal and putting together the final publication. This new design has since also been used for the 7th volume. Exploration and design
The European Union has a distinct visual identity that is instantly recognizable with its blue and yellow colors and squarish typeface, visible throughout their websites and publications. For this reason, the design of the journal would use blue as a primary color and yellow as an accent color. As for the typeface, Blinker was chosen for its squarish shapes that echo the EU's font families. Flat shapes and lines were used to make key information stand out. All of this together modernized and transformed the journal into a publication that is visually strongly connected to the European Union.
